More Practice...

Photography has become a really fun hobby for me, and although my children are probably tired of me chasing them with the camera (Kate can't run away...yet), I've enjoyed getting to photograph them. As I've said before, they are my favorite subjects for sure!!! I'm still working on getting some more of Jonathan...bribery no longer works.

More 4th (Actually 5th) of July Photos

We traveled to Clinton for the long holiday weekend and spent some time downtown for the Old Glory Days festivities. Nicholas bravely road a pony (Jonathan wasn't going to go for it...but was surprisingly brave enough to ride some rides). They both had their pictures taken with a monkey! They enjoyed fireworks (a small show put on by pyro daddy). Saturday morning we went to the Fireman's pancake breakfast on the downtown square followed by the parade (a very looooooooong two hour parade). This was probably one of the most fun 4th of July weekends in a long time...now that the kids are beginning to get old enough to really enjoy it. And what amazing weather this year! :)

Rainy Day Fun

We were getting a little stir crazy with the rainy day. Yep...Nick was a colorful little boy by the time we were finished...

Aquatots

Just a post-swim pic of Nick. His first session wore him out (about as much as me). He was a bit clingy at first...I honestly think he's so used to having Jonathan right beside him, he felt a little lost. By the end of the session he was giggling and jumping in to my arms from the side of the pool and playing on the kickboard.

Mmmmm. Yummy?

Kate's been eating more and more rice mixed with fruit. She's starting to get the hang of it. She should be used to any sweet flavor by now since she's been on cherry and orange flavored antibiotics practically everyday since birth. Little sweet tooth. Doesn't she look malnourished...underfed?

Meme & Papa Visit

We had another busy weekend...especially Saturday. Jonathan had his second round of Parent-tots at the Liberty Community Center where his is learning to be more comfortable in the water. He loves going and looks forward most to getting to jump off the side into my arms at the end of the session. Nick will begin on Monday. I look forward to this little bit of one-on-one time with my boys.

Meme and Papa came up for a visit on Saturday and while walking around our yard, we learned that we have 2 peach trees, an apple tree, blackberry bushes, a mulberry tree and what we think is a plum tree. Many of these trees and bushes did not bear fruit last year...either because they were too immature or because of the drought conditions. Having been a bit of a tom-boy myself growing up with two brothers, for some reason I have images of future fruit wars in the backyard...

Kate's Five Months Old!

Well five months tomorrow, that is. She didn't enjoy being placed on a wood floor with just her skivvy's to take her picture. Got two decent shots though! ;) Growing way too fast...for my last baby...so sad.
