THANKSGIVING 2007
THANKSGIVING
We enjoyed a long weekend in Clinton to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. The boys and I left on Tuesday afternoon after my doctors appointment in Olathe and headed for Clinton. I was spoiled by the gift of a prenatal massage the following day...boy could I use one of those EVERYDAY!!! We spent this Thanksgiving with my family (we switch between Jason's side and mine from year to year). This year was extra special having my grandfather with us since he recently moved to area. We also went to the downtown lighting ceremony in Clinton where there was a live natvity, a lighted Christmas parade and an opportunity to get some free books courtesy of one of the local churches.

Fall Fun 2007
WORK IN THE YARD

The boys had fun playing in the leave pile daddy made especially for them...well, for about 5 minutes max. Jonathan got ultra spastic with the leaf throwing and it was a little too much for his brother to handle!

HALLOWEEN 2007
We had a great time this year trick or treating around the new neighborhood. We invited our friends, Kevin & Katie (and little Jackson) and Nicole and Ryan (with Kendric and Cadence) to join us and the kids had a blast...Jonathan really knew what to do and we could barely keep up with him! He was Batman this year and Nicholas was a cute little duck.

Nicole (our fabulous friend and babysitter) put the kids costumes on at daycare for a photo opp.
Nicholas loved going along for the cold ride while the "big kids" trick or treated!

Jonathan and good buddy, Kendric
I had to throw this one in here...Aunt Katie thought since Nick was going to be a duck, Jonathan should be a chicken. This pretty much captures what he thought about the costume!
Visting with Grandpa MacCarthy at his home!
DAY ON THE VOTAW FARM 2007
We spent a Satruday on Jason's grandparents farm helping to do some general clearing of brush and repair. Jonathan helped prepare the bonfire with daddy and had fun playing on the old tractors.
Jason's brother Jim came for a long weekend from New Hampshire to spend time with family. We also celebrated Jason's mom's birthday while he was here. It's always so good to see him...his family misses he and Tara dearly!!!

Pumpkin Patch & More
It's been a busy month for our family so far. We dealt with a nasty case of what we believe was rotovirus...both Jonathan and Nicholas were down for the count for almost a week. Poor Aunt Katie (who experienced being vomited on), also became ill. Thankfully Jason and I were spared for the most part!
We are thrilled to have my grandfather move close by from Dallas, TX to a retirement community. It will be a joy spending more time with him and allowing Jonathan and Nicholas to get to know their great-grandfather. He is an amazing person and has many stories to tell from a rich and full life.
Facebook (a little addiction of mine) allowed us the opportunity to have a good old friend, who was in town from TN to take pictures of her neice, take pictures of our family in the backyard. She is amazing and did an absolutely fabulous job capturing our family. It's going to be tough to decide what pictures to order. You can see some of the pictures she took (and others that display her unbelieveable talent) at www.porterphotography.blogspot.com. Facebook also helped reunite some good friends I graduated with in 1994 from CHS. It was so good to get together and visit, if only for a short time.
Our visit to the pumpkin patch here in Liberty with our friends, Ryan and Nicole, was so worth the time and energy this year. Both Jonathan and his good buddy, Kendric, had a great time. Nicholas (our little people watcher) seemed to have a great time too.

Class of '94 Friends mini-reunion.

A little Halloween preview...Jonathan will actually be Batman...but sister Katie thought it would be fun to torture him and make him wear this! You can tell he's not in to it! :)
